The cow is considered sacred in many religions. It is a symbol of good and wealth. In India, the cow is believed to be a symbol of the earth - because it gives so much yet asks for nothing in return. In Greek mythology, the cow was sacred to the goddess Hera who was herself described as “cow-eyed”, which later on was understood as “big eyed”, since in ancient times a cow was a symbol of beauty. |

Pea is teaming up with biodynamic dairy farmer, Tom Ventham, in offering you this unique course; a fusion of our dear domestic animals and sacred cows. Tom is an inspiring herdsman who has a very special relationship with his cows and a simple way of dairy farming. He has been taking care of the cows for over 30 years and at Plaw Hatch each cow has a name. We may also be able to communicate with Bob the bull. |
